Ah, the World Cup.

When it kicks off on Friday, you'll be witness to a month's worth of excitement, thrills and glory. (Also: soccer.) So we understand if you might need something extra to entice you.

Something like The WAGs of the World Cup—that's "wives and girlfriends," for non-futbol fans—our slideshow guide to the ladies in the stands. (You're welcome.)

Among them, you'll find lingerie models, swimsuit models and... a television presenter who models lingerie and swimsuits on the side. (Your move, Couric.) You'll also be introduced to a DJ who once dated Prince Harry, the latest conquests of ladies' men like Cristiano Ronaldo and Iker Casillas, and the notorious Vanessa Perroncel—the Brit who cheated on one British footballer with... the captain of his team. (Kind of like cheating on A-Rod with Jeter.)

And because we know that, deep down, you're an internationalist, you'll be happy to know that our slideshow comprises a multinational revue. There's Dutch (named the world's sexiest woman by the homers at Dutch FHM), Portuguese, and we even found a German. And because we're patriotic, we're leading things off with Bethany Dempsey, an American who's married to one of the red, white and blue's top players.
