Closets can’t talk. Obviously. You know that. We know that.

But they can whisper their longing for a new three-piece Italian suit.

Okay, they can’t do that either.

A new Italian suit, though. That sounds nice.

Oh, and hey—here comes Ermenegildo Zegna, the new Design District outpost of the iconic Italian clothier, now open. (See the slideshow.)

You probably recognize the name. Mostly because people have been wearing his stuff since 1910. The kind of people who want to look nice for a big meeting at work. Or a night out with a hard-to-impress date. People like Justin Timberlake and Jon Hamm. You also probably recognize those names.

The new shop’s got rosewood, mahogany and specially commissioned Italian art that you’ll only find here. Not to mention vichy cotton shirts you could wear under a blazer or a water-resistant trench. Bottles of cologne. Deerskin dress shoes. Silk ties. You get it.

And upstairs: a dedicated room for your made-to-measure suits. Just schedule an appointment, and get to work picking your fabric, colors and patterns. They’ll even add a personal message in the selvage of your new suit.

Your Facebook password is probably a bad idea.
