An Elegant Italian Clothery in the Design District

Season in Miami.

What snowbirds think we do: wear flip-flops, drink mojitos, own Marco Polo at any number of pool parties.

What we really do: wear cashmere, drink cortaditos, own Marco Polo at any number of Art Basel parties.

Here with the assist: Sartorial, an airy new Italian clothery with enough cashmere polos, limited-edition denim and made-to-measure suits to get you through season, open now in the Design District.

This is from two sisters with pretty solid taste in Italian menswear. So they’ve brought a handful of worthy designers into the store (think Pal Zileri and Sergio Rossi). Also, it feels like you’re walking into some Frank Gehry architectural wonder (20-foot ceilings, a 45-foot glass facade, black glass chandeliers...).

Your tactic here: prepare yourself for the onslaught of events heading your way. A pair of Jacob Cohen jeans for outdoor brunching. Some hand-sewn Luigi Borrelli shirts for gallery soiree-ing. And that Borsalino fur hat for... well, you’ll figure something out.

Oh, and made-to-measure suits. That’s happening here, too. But you’ll have to wait a bit longer for the bespoke shirts and shoes to come around.

In the meantime, have another cortadito or something.
