On the Square
Scotch and Shaves in the Gables

Sloane Square Barbers & Shoppe
You’ve got a big weekend ahead of you. But before all the hot-tubbing, etc., can commence, you need just one thing:

A neck massage. And a haircut. And a glass of whiskey...

Okay, so more than one thing...

So you’ll be pleased to know that the new but old-timey Sloane Square Barbers & Shoppe opens their second outpost today in Coral Gables.

You’re already familiar with the original location, a dark-wooded men’s clubhouse brimming with coffee-table books and complimentary glasses of beer. They’ve transported that dapper British feel to the mainland location, with the same leather-studded armchairs, large framed mirrors and vintage barber chairs.

So let’s say you’re courting a Gables socialite. You can stop in for a post-brunch haircut that ends with a hot towel on the shoulders, followed by a relaxing neck rub. And you may want to spring for one of their membership packages (they start at $56), which include unlimited haircuts, sideburn maintenance and hot shaves.

You do have that mustache competition coming up.
