Mo' Mokai
A South Beach Nightlife Staple Is Reborn

You're always willing to grant second chances.
Especially when it comes to sleek cocktail lounges brimming with leggy Brazilians.
Which brings us to
Mokai Lounge, the once-shuttered South Beach club, now relaunching with
a model- and hipster-filled Wednesday night party tomorrow night.
Like so many proud Miamians before it, Mokai underwent a bit of a face-lift during its five-month hiatus.
Under the new stewardship of nightlife gurus Opium Group (SET, Mansion and Louis), the space has been souped
up with red leather couches, intricate wood latticework and a bar framed in flickering flames.
Most importantly, the club's formerly impossible-to-reach bar and impassable pathways have been replaced by
spacious passages, allowing you easier access to your various areas of expertise (bars, dance floor,
danceable tabletops).
And because everyone needs a little help getting over the hump, Wednesday nights will be known as Pyramid
Club, a huge party by nightlife provocateurs The Overthrow, who you know for their work packing mega-club
LIV with the right mix of socialites, playboys and models. Expect a similar mix here, with a few more
Ottoman Empire-style fez hats.
You've always looked great in red felt.
