Six Degrees
Your New Casino-Adjacent Nightclub
Nightclubs and casinos.
They go together like olives and martinis, oysters and champagne, Leno and backstabbing.
So it's with great excitement that we bring you news of
MI-VI, a new mega-club opening this
Saturday in Hallandale's Gulfstream Park casino complex.
First of all, we know what you're thinking: Hallandale, really? But before you start protesting that nothing
worthwhile ever happens over the Dade County line, you should know that the mastermind behind this cavernous
British spy club is none other than legendary nightlife kingpin Gerry Kelly, the man who brought you the
Fifth, Level and Bash. (If he can venture off of South Beach, so can you.)
For his latest mega-lounge, he's put together an
Elizabethan
hideaway you'll want to duck into after betting on the horses at the new gambling mecca next door. Your
entrance will be greeted by an Elizabeth I coronation gown, and the club sort of feels like your own
personal Windsor Castle (minus any sense of English restraint).
Getting a drink shouldn't be a problem—there are six bars to choose from and plenty of seating on couches
that look like thrones.
If you're looking for something more intimate, there are four VIP sections facing the stage, which will
showcase fashion shows, marquee DJs and, in the future, 3-D concerts.
Avatar was just the beginning.
