Thanks, Mr. Manilow. El Tucán will take it from here.

It’s a tropical cabaret with a bunch of champagne, a bunch of dancers and a full-on 12-piece Latin orchestra, opening tonight in Brickell.

Then: 1940s Cuba. The Tropicana. A brassy band musically accompanies a montage of scantily clad dancers donning feathered headdresses as they shimmy their way out into the crowd. Champagne is poured. Glasses are clinked. The crowd dances on tabletops. Sh*t gets crazy.

Now: the same. Except Cuba is Brickell. And it’s called El Tucán.

Reservations are definitely the way to go here. Maybe for a group on a Friday night. So do that. Then, make your way under the neon-lit awning and enter an opulent palace of bronze, light tropical hues and trompe l’oeil murals. Take your seat at a table and start with an El Tropical made with tequila, Ancho Reyes and fresh pineapple. (Here’s a look at what you’ll be toasting with.)

Finally, the show will commence. It might be that 12-piece Latin orchestra or a band from a distant locale. But then again, it might be DJs and sequined dancers—it really depends on the night.

Welcome to cabaret roulette.
