Game Night
A Midtown Saloon with Board Games

Drinks: always a good start.

But they’re not everything.

There’s the crowd. The scene. Whether or not they have Scrabble.

You know, the important stuff...

Introducing Ricochet Bar and Lounge, a sprawling saloon of casual cocktailing, board game playing and art appreciating, slated to open Thursday in Midtown.

Depending on the night, the setup here could go from post-work happy hour spot to indie-rock den. So one night, you might find yourself sitting at one of the gold and steel bar stools at the triangular bar (made of purple marble), sipping a coffee-infused cocktail with colleagues. The next night, you’ll be staking out a table by the stage and biding your time with a quick game of Pictionary (there’s a separate board game menu).

And then there’s all the art designed to spark conversation between you and your date before or after you’ve hit Sugarcane for dinner. Your coasters: designed by local artist Daniel Arsham. The video art displayed on the flat-screens: curated by a Design Miami gallerina. The servers’ uniforms: body-hugging knits from local designer Krelwear.

It’d be really impolite not to use the coasters.
