Oh to be hungry at 4am in South Beach. Sometimes the meatloaf at Big Pink will suffice, but other times
you're looking to keep the party churning in a more refined direction…
Like with a glass of wine and a mountain of seafood.
Introducing Au Pied de Cochon, a 24-hour brasserie opening tomorrow, ready to satisfy your wildest
late-night cravings.
Think of Au Pied as your new post-nightcap nightcap spot. It's where you'll go after you've made the rounds
at Mansion or Louis and are jonesing for a topnotch cognac and a steak tartare. Bustling and frenetic, the
place feels like a cozy bistro on a Parisian back street, right down to the red leather booths, brass
chandeliers and art nouveau murals.
The first thing you'll notice when you saunter in is the enormous seafood showcase—a glistening mound
of oysters, lobsters, stone crabs, Dungeness crabs, mussels and jumbo shrimp piled atop crushed ice, just
begging to be paired with a chilled glass of rosé and a new late-night companion.
Of course, there are also Euro classics for you to sample, like French onion soup, duck confit and the house
specialty, roasted pig's feet.
At 5am, it's all fair game…
