We’re not saying it happens all the time. But there are occasions when you veer west of I-95.

Maybe it’s to visit a comely co-ed at Nova. Or maybe you’ve been persuaded to attend/star in the grandparents’ latest hoedown at Century Village.

In any case, you’ll need to refuel. Mexican beers and fish tacos should do...

That’s when the latest outpost of Salsa Fiesta, opening today in the wilds of Pembroke Pines, will come in handy.

Everything you love about the Mexican cantina’s original location on Biscayne is here: the salsa bar, the ice-cold cervezas, the daily happy hour... the salsa bar. So after a day golfing with the fam, you’ll settle in at one of the recycled wood tables for a few micheladas, some mod burritos, tacos and quesadillas.

You’ll also find a few new additions on the menu, including raspados—aka Mexican snow cones with flavors like spicy mango, habanero lime and chipotle pineapple—for dessert.

Watch out for brain freeze.
