Tale of the Tape

Breaking Down Two New Pool Situations

Legend has it that when a Vegas pool is born, wise men and women come from afar to leave gifts of foam noodles and sunblock before its daybeds. But when two are born, well, the people must choose. And that can only mean one thing: a tale of the tape.

Below: Radiusº (left), now open at Stratosphere, versus Sky Pool, now open at Aria. Let’s rumble.

The Scene
Radiusº: Aquatic haven by day, DJ-fueled wet bar by night... that happens to be situated 300 feet above the Strip. (See the slideshow.)
Sky Pool: You’ll need to book a Sky Suite to get in here. But what you’ll get in return is a secluded oasis of palm trees, daybeds and poolside back massages using cold marble stones. (Take a look here.)
Edge: Push. Best to research both further.

The Menu
Radiusº: 32-ounce mojitos and flash-fried lobster-kimchi rolls. (Here’s the menu.)
Sky Pool: Piña coladas and an Asian chicken summer roll.
Edge: Radiusº. If you’re flash-frying lobster, you’re doing something right.

The Wow Factor
Radiusº: Panoramic views of the valley at sunset.
Sky Pool: Being showered with chilled towels, an Evian mist, guava ice pops and mango mochi balls every 90 minutes.
Edge: Sky Pool. When pool lounging, timely provisions are key to survival.
