Friday: you peer past Daily Dose and see Imli, an upcoming Indian street food place holding a two-night pop-up with Goan prawn curry and sandwiches cooked over an open fire. Saturday: you enter Lou’s place and join Large Marge for pancetta-wrapped shrimp jalapeño poppers and more sandwiches. Friday and Saturday: you achieve nirvana.
Harold & Belle’s just came roaring out of hibernation with a clean new look and drinks from a Jones Hollywood vet. Otherwise, they’re indulging in the same old behaviors. Like serving you fried chicken, gumbo and po’boys. Didn’t think you’d mind.
One of the artists behind Banksy’s Dismaland is making you an enormous maze out of cakes and candy at Think Tank Gallery. There’ll also be an open bar, edible cocktails from some Varnish bartenders, various pop-up dinners and a watercolor ice cream truck through next month. Abstract expressionist ice cream trucks still aren’t a thing.
