Tonight, you soar with the condors.

Glide with the hawks.

Drink Vespers beside LAPD helicopters.

Tonight, you celebrate life at 71Above...

It’s the skyscraping, 360-degree epicenter of client drinks and impressive dinner dates that, yes, opens tonight 71 floors up the tallest building west of the Mississippi. Here’s a look inside and here’s the menu.

This white-oak-and-glass ring up on the US Bank Tower will earn lots of dropped jaws (and probably design awards) in the coming months. So you’ll want a reservation now. You can pick your table by its view. There’s really nothing you can’t see from up there in the way of mountains and sunsets and landmarks and freeways where everybody looks like neon ants.

Once you’re aloft, you’ll find a bar and lounge making Vespers and French 75s. More importantly, Vartan Abgaryan is preparing three-course dinners with suckling pig and king crab. And guiding you through tasting menus at the open-kitchen-side chef’s tables.

Dinners can happen intimately for two. Or not that. But everything’s laid out so you won’t even know the restaurant’s louder side exists if you eat 180 degrees in the other direction.

Someone ended up using geometry in life after all.
