But clearly, greatest when filled with tequila and vodka.

Gourd yourself for The Jolly Pumpkin, a seasonal, strong and super-scarce punch that’s served inside a butternut squash... kidding, it’s served inside a humongous pumpkin, available Tuesday through Thursday next week at Plan Check.

If you’ve ever looked into a hollowed-out pumpkin and thought, “This would be a really nice place to store some Anchor-Steam-hops-distilled vodka, guava tequila, clove-steeped pomegranate juice and champagne,” well, then you and Matt Biancaniello (the wizard behind this concoction) have a lot in common when it comes to spiked punches.

Right, so ordering a drink from a bar. You know how that works. Belly up. Make eye contact with the bartender. Point at the carved pumpkin with the silver ladle sticking out of the top and say, “That. I want that.” Sip. Taste autumn.

Oh, and no pressure or anything, but they’re only serving 25 of these a night.

That chill you feel is a sudden sense of urgency.
