Weirder, and ever more delicious...

In a week that has already brought you another Water Grill, let’s just go ahead and submit to beautiful, beautiful oyster overload—here’s EMC Seafood & Raw Bar, a gleaming K-Town hideout for potent cocktails and dollar oysters, now open.

It’s the opposite of Water Grill in a lot of ways (both Water Grills now, actually). Think super-casual, and super-... hasn’t-been-around-for-20-years-racking-up-a-pedigree. Still. They’ve got oysters. Lots of ’em.

You’ll want them with the house version of a Negroni—this one’s half gin, half Irish whiskey. Sacrilege. Completely welcome sacrilege. Or maybe you’re feeling more like a bottled Sazerac. Pop.

Now you’re ready for lobster rolls. Ready for salmon and crispy crab. Ready to discuss how the white-leather-and-cherrywood thing is really working for them. (Not a faux anchor in sight.)

All of which is to say you can come for an easy first date. An easy after-work thing. Any situation, any day, between 5 and 7pm isn’t a bad idea—that’s when the dollar oysters happen.

And really, what better use of a dollar...
