Wolf Blitzer
Steak Tartare, Wine and Swans at Hotel Bel-Air
Maybe her parents are coming to town. Maybe it’s Mom’s birthday. Maybe a producer just told you your
apocalyptic series of Post-it notes is the next
Hunger Games.
Sometimes you need to go all out for dinner. Good wine. Majestic retractable ceilings. And some f***ing
swans wouldn’t hurt.
Introducing
Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air,
a blushing beauty of a new restaurant situated near the hotel’s legendary lake of
swans, now soft-open for hotel guests and officially debuting to the public on Tuesday.
First, some history. For the last couple of years, the Hotel Bel-Air has been shut down for some major
upgrades—including this totally new restaurant. And before that... actually, that’s enough
history.
So next time you’ve got an occasion on the calendar that qualifies as “special,” come back to the
hotel. Note the casual elegance of Wolfie’s new dining room, decorated with 2,400 wine bottles in glass
towers. Move toward the outdoorsy area beyond—yes, the ceiling comes off, but they’ve got plenty of
heaters, and shawls for the ladies. On cool nights, you’ll see fog rolling in as you feast on seafood,
steak tartare and... bone marrow.
And the lobby lounge now spills outside, too, so you’ll want to hole up by an outdoor fireplace for a
swan-adjacent aperitif.
Your favorite kind of aperitif.
