Just Pici

Pizza and Cheesecake in Beverly Hills

Sometimes you just need a little spot to woo a vegan WME agent from Brooklyn who has an intense craving for hand-rolled Tuscan pasta.

It’s LA. This actually happens.

Thankfully, there’s a new Brooklyn-meets-Italy-meets-Beverly Hills spot for just such an occasion—welcome to Pici (“peachy”) Enoteca, officially opening Monday on Beverly Drive.

It’s an intimate little enclave suited for about 40 people max—and on any given day, given the neighborhood, you’ll probably be seated among couples on a casual date, besuited agents discussing box office returns in Asia and tourists marveling at their proximity to said agents.

You and your date will start with a glass of red lambrusco while you peruse the short, simple menu of fresh pasta, wine and lemongrass pizza. The pizzas are all vegetarian, and the tomato, basil and garlic pasta is vegan as a base, but you can throw some chicken, meatballs or prosciutto onto most items.

You’ll also be happy to know that the chef at this place, a Brooklyn guy, invented the cheesecake for the Zone diet. So you’ll probably want dessert.

Cheesecake is the foundation of any good six-pack.
