Your New Cottage on the Turkish Riviera
Let’s do some free association. Ready: Turkey.
Lamb dishes. Saunas. Istanbul, not Constantinople.
Good start. But we’d like to present something less expected. Unless you expected your own private cottage
on the Aegean Sea...
Introducing
Amanruya, a new, village-like resort on the Turkish Riviera, opening in mid-December
and taking reservations now.
Somewhere, on the Bodrum Peninsula,
nestled on a hill among pine
forests and olive groves, there’s this understated hideaway. And soon, its pebble beach will be all
yours.
So the next time you find yourself on a boat in the Mediterranean, consider mooring at a dock in Bodrum,
hiring a driver and motoring 30 minutes north to this collection of stone buildings. Your cottage (one of
36) will have a pool, and a garden with an outdoor shower and a pergola. You never take an outdoor shower
without one.
When you’ve gotten your reading in (there’s a three-story library) and you’re tired of lying around at
the beach club, consider mountain biking, or a day trip to see the ruins at Ephesus. And since the nights
can get crisp, you’ll come home, ignite your in-suite Turkish mangal (a charcoal fireplace) and consider
your indoor entertainment options.
That Turkish rug’s got to be good for something.
