Den of Thieves

And Den This Happened...

Cheap Drinks. Asian Street Food. And DJs.

You’ve got a big problem with DJs. Namely that it’s damn hard to get a piece of Korean fried chicken while you listen to them.

Come on, think about it. It’s annoying.

Well, just exhale, relax and head to Den of Thieves, the latest concept from Thievery Corporation mastermind Eric Hilton and his cohorts, opening Saturday.

You once knew this place as Blackbyrd Warehouse. Then you knew it as Hanoi House. But now you’ll know it as “that place where we eat Asian street food while we hear Eric Hilton DJ.” And that’s exactly what he’ll be doing on Saturdays from the space’s new DJ booth and upgraded sound system—spinning a Thievery-esque mix of funk, soul and world. Other nights, you’ll find some of his favorite local DJs spinning.

What you’ll want in such a scenario: nothing fancy, just a seat at the same black lacquered bar you’ll recognize from Hanoi House and some cheap ($8), simple cocktails, like a Moscow Mule, a Martinez and a Negroni.

And the food: more of the same, like dogs with Asian slaw, pork spring rolls and the aforementioned chicken. Yup, it’s all served late.

For when the clock strikes Korean fried chicken.
