These Boats Are Actually Inns

Option A for waterborne spring getaways: a cruise ship out of Baltimore harbor. With 5,000 people. And possibly an epidemic.<br /> <br /> Option B: booking an overnight stay with a few friends (or one friend) on a sailboat or yacht.<br /> <br /> Hint: go with B. THE SCHOONER

A B&B on Chris Walken’s Sailboat

The boat: You may recognize her from Wedding Crashers (if you could take your eyes off Captain Walken for that long). It’s usually used for pleasure cruises, but on warm-weather Saturdays, it becomes a floating B&B.
The bonus: Crab-and-asparagus quiche on deck the next morning. Will give you energy for quail hunting.

THE HOUSEBOAT

A Floating House on the SW Waterfront

The boat: A boxy houseboat docked on the Southwest Waterfront, complete with high ceilings, a queen-size bed and a full bath.
The bonus: There are two pull-out couches in the living room. So invite some fellow Nats fans down after the game.

THE CATAMARAN

A Four-Bedroom Villa on the Bay

The boat: A 42-foot lagoon catamaran, with four queen-size bedrooms and private baths.
The bonus: Tell them what inlet or creek off the Chesapeake you’d like them to anchor it in. They’ll ferry you out there via water taxi. And provide a captain if you’d like to stay mobile.

THE HISTORIC SAILBOAT

Sleeping on a 1926 Sailboat’s Deck

The boat: A 41-foot sailboat made in 1926. It sleeps up to six as you sail out into the bay for a crab cake picnic and an overnight at anchor.
The bonus: If your group is four or fewer, you’ve got the option of sleeping on deck with the stars over your head.

THE BLOWOUT

A Giant Yacht in the Inner Harbor

The boat: Just a huge yacht. We’re talking four bedrooms, three baths and a 360-degree view off the open-air top deck.
The bonus: A full kitchen, with four-seat bar and dining room. For all your pit beef sandwiches.
