It's late. You're in Georgetown. You've been indulging in things you may regret later.
In other words, a typical Wednesday night.
And so you need an oasis. A respite. Sustenance.
Preferably the kind that comes wrapped in a warm, paper-thin pastry.
Introducing
Crêpe Amour, soft-open now to bring you game-saving eats when and where you
need them most.
We know what you're thinking: a dainty little lemon and cinnamon crepe is no match for the cocktailing tour
de force that you're unleashing on M Street. But prepare to think bigger—this is where you'll pick up
rebound-worthy indulgences like a Gallic-American mash-up stuffed with homemade cheddar mac and cheese, then
drizzled with Frank's RedHot sauce. (Call it the Freedom Crepe.) Or try
The Mayflower, with smoked
turkey, Swiss and cranberry sauce (not that you're feeling very puritanical).
And for the kind of night that doesn't really slow down until 10am, stop by in the morning for a
strawberries-and-Nutella crepe, and some Lavazza espresso to undo the damage. (Well,
some of the
damage.)
Then, starting next month, you can also drop by to take in the game and grab a bite
before your run
of debauchery at the area taverns—the owners are launching the Georgetown Wing Company upstairs, hawking
baskets of wings and five beers on tap. Right now you can get crepes until midnight, but in coming weeks
they'll extend things until 4am.
And, of course, nothing sops up Buffalo sauce quite like a crepe...
