Artisan Popsicles Meet Coffee and Sandwiches

None 3 Photos Pleasant Pops Farmhouse Market & Café
You’ve put all kinds of things in your coffee. A choice cordial or two, sure. The occasional marshmallow. And, of course, the rogue bear claw.

But a Mexican sweet cream and cinnamon popsicle... probably not.

Well, you see where this is going. Namely, to Pleasant Pops Farmhouse Market & Café, opening early next week at the foot of Adams Morgan.

You may have chased these guys’ truck around on Twitter this summer, seeking out a pineapple/basil or cucumber/chili pop. Well, no need to do that any longer. They’ve got this multipurpose spot for you to come and linger, with all the requisite church pews, paneling from old barns and tables made from 110-year-old wood that you’ve come to expect.

Your strategy during the week: sit and email over sandwiches like Caprese with housemade mozzarella and a PB&J with peanut butter, Nutella and plum preserves. And maybe grab a jar of pickles and a bag of pasta for later from the shelves of all-local dry goods.

On the weekend, it’s all restorative egg sandwiches and extra-strong espresso from Annapolis’s Ceremony Coffee Roasters—maybe with an autumn-ready pop like peppermint or eggnog cream.

You always wanted an eggnog-scented stick.
