Introducing the Pork Cupcake

UD - Pork CupcakeSome things just belong together.

Gin and tonic. Yachts and music videos. Pork and cupcakes.

Allow us to explain that last one.

Feast your eyes on the Pork Cupcake, a swine-filled cheese biscuit here to add a bit of meatiness to your next dip into cupcakeland, now available at Bourbon Steak.

Now, we know what you’re thinking: there’s pork in everything these days, from bacon-infused ice cream to porcine candy bars. But you’ll be happy to know that there’s nothing super-sweet about this combo. In fact, it might be the most savory pairing since Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman. (Or even Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher. God, we loved No Strings Attached.)

Here’s how this thing comes to be: first, the chefs make an oversized cheddar and scallion biscuit. Then, they inject it with thin strips of smoked pulled pork. Then, it’s done, and you eat it.

You should also know that they’re not putting it on the menu, so you’ll have to ask for it by name. You’ll probably want to order it from the bar, when you need something special to sop up the remnants from a particularly long night of revelry.

Go ahead, ask for a side of bacon.
