Ramen, Cashmere and a Watermelon Massage

Live life to the weekendest.

A Store for Everything Cashmere
ACE IN THE HOLE

A Store for Everything Cashmere

There’s a new store called Kit and Ace. Inside: racks, shelves and mannequins sporting a bunch of cashmere-blend T-shirts, shorts and henleys (heavier stuff comes this fall). All of it is very soft and very washable. Really, you can wash it. Anyway, swing by sometime if you like being comfortable.

A Bar in Addison. A Bar on the Lake.
ONE-TWO PUNCH

A Bar in Addison. A Bar on the Lake.

In this corner: Ron’s Place, a casual Addison hangout that’s flush with beers, whiskey and nachos.
In that corner: A new beer spot near Lake Lewisville called Little Elm Crafthouse. Go there for draft beers and growlers on your way to the lake.
The takeaway: Two new bars.

A Date-Worthy Night at the Arboretum
GARDEN STATE

A Date-Worthy Night at the Arboretum

Here’s something new and date-related at the Dallas Arboretum. Tonight you can stroll through the gardens listening to strategically positioned musicians, snacking at food trucks (BellaTrino, Ruthie’s) and drinking whatever you packed in your cooler. Like beer, or maybe a juice box.

Saturday
Watermelon’s Not Just for Eating
WATER WORKS

Watermelon’s Not Just for Eating

Because it’s hot out there, Hiatus wants to scrub you with watermelon seeds, cane sugar and mint. That’s followed by a crushed-watermelon wrap and a mint scalp massage, and the whole thing ends with a cocktail. That’s a damn summery massage.

Here’s a New Ramen Joint
RAMEN AT WORK

Here’s a New Ramen Joint

Monta Ellis: gone. But replacing him is Monta Ramen, a from-Vegas noodle joint that won’t help the Mavs but will help your consumption of tonkotsu ramen and chashu pork. And that’s something.

Now open, Monta Ramen, 800 N Coit Rd, Ste 2550B, Richardson, 469-333-7777
