After 14 long years of not serving lunch, the Quarter is now serving lunch. So swing by during daylight hours to partake in cold beers and New Orleans–style cocktails. Also, maybe some lunch (Kobe burger, margherita pizza). That’s kind of the point.
Tonight, Stonedeck Pizza Pub is officially welcoming itself to the neighborhood. This means gratis pizza. We could stop right there. But we’ll continue. Because it also means moonshine samples, passed snacks, Deep Ellum beers and music on the patio. Okay, now we’ll stop. Don’t want to overwhelm anyone.
Going to an art show: fine. Going to an art show dedicated to coffee and donuts: yes, that’s it. That’s what you need. And that’s what’s happening here. There will be paintings and sculptures displaying these morning amusements, plus actual coffee and donuts for your consumption. So don’t lick the artwork.
Addison is getting a Hopdoddy on Monday, so that’s cause to celebrate if you like one or more of the
following:
—Angus beef burgers.
—Local beers.
—Nutella-and-chocolate-pretzel shakes.
—Celebrating.
You’re going to camp. But this camp is less about tents and trust falls, and more about learning to create perfect smoke rings on whole briskets. You’ll be doing that at Lockhart under the watchful eye of their pitmaster. You’ll also be drinking beer and eating dinner. It’s a good camp.
