Cocktails and Burlesque on Main Street

Once, there was a bar. Called the Chesterfield. For a while, it was glorious. Then: less glorious. Anyway, now it’s called Prohibition. They’ve scrapped the 100-strong cocktail menu in favor of a pared-down version. And on weekends: a DJ. In the new DJ booth. Also, burlesque. No booth for that, though.

This Place Will Deliver You Tacos

You can never have too many brisket enchiladas. Same rule goes for guacamole. So it’s a damn good thing that Chiladas just opened on Lovers. See, they’re serving both. And things like pork shoulder tacos and bowls of queso. And... they deliver. 214-365-9900. Maybe commit it to memory.

Getting 30% Off Some Shirts and Shorts

You look like you could use some new shorts. Call it a hunch. Or our uncanny ability to read thermometers. Either way, there’s a 30% off sale at Warehaus, and that’ll help stock your closet. We’re talking Wolf vs Goat button-downs. Riviera Club polos. Let’s see, what else... oh, right, shorts.

Ongoing, Warehaus, 3699 McKinney Ave, Ste 501, 214-628-1493

Film Fest-ing in Oak Cliff

The Oak Cliff Film Festival starts tonight. Goes all weekend. Seems like a good time. There’ll be events. There’ll be parties. There’ll probably be a bunch of independent movies and documentaries. Stands to reason. Film fest and all.

A Beer-Fueled Birthday Celebration

The Common Table’s doing you a big favor by turning three this Saturday. They’re celebrating with special keg tappings throughout the day (Firestone Walker Double DBA, Founders Devil Dancer). And the Whiskey Folk Ramblers hit the stage at 10. Guess the Beer Folk Ramblers were already booked. Or don’t exist.
