Monday again.

We can’t change that (though, it’s not for lack of trying), but we can certainly make it better.

At long last, here’s Industry Alley Bar, your comfortable new home away from home for engaging in billiards, pinball and good drinks, soft-open now through Wednesday and then officially opening August 20 after a brief hiatus.

You can find it on South Lamar, and you can see it right here.

This place comes from your pal Charlie Papaceno (formerly of Windmill Lounge). Which means you should expect to kick back and enjoy yourself. The front patio’s sporting tables, shade and an impressive mural. The jukebox is giving you plenty to work with. And the metal bar’s dispensing cold canned beers and unfussy, well-made cocktails.

So grab a bar stool, sip on something good, strike up a conversation and make a new friend. It’s all possible here.

Then, after you’ve loosened up, work your way toward the back to find an open space full of pinball and arcade games, big TVs and a couple pool tables. There’s even an elevated DJ booth for late-night DJ sessions.

Even jukeboxes need a break sometimes.
