Finally, a Sports Bar in Oak Cliff

You love this time of year.

The NFL’s just under way.

The Rangers are pushing toward the playoffs.

FC Dallas is... actually, we have no idea what they’re up to.

Point is: it’s a great time to be a sports fan.

And we’ve got breaking flat-screen/nacho news.

Meet The Pour House, a no-frills neighborhood haven for beer, sports and bar food, now open and serving lunch in Oak Cliff.

In a way, you already know this place. Because it’s a sports bar. And sports bars have flat-screens as far as the eye can see. Also, potato skins, draft beers and, in some cases (certainly this one), a massive wraparound deck with communal tables.

Which means it’s a strong candidate for your regular Sunday football watch spot. Or your October baseball command center. So the next time you’re in the market for a Deep Ellum Dallas Blonde and huge TVs (plus garlicky jalapeño mozzarella sticks), you’ll come here. Post up at the bar. Find a leather booth in the back. Or slide into a seat on the patio. Either way, you’re good/within arm’s length of a broadcasting game.

But for now, they’re only open for weekday lunches. And, courtesy heads-up: they’re still waiting on a liquor license (but we promise, it really is a sports bar). So hang tight. And in the meantime, stop in to say hello.

Even sports bars need a preseason.
