Steaks and Short Ribs at the Stoneleigh

That’s exactly how many days remain until Thanksgiving.

That’s... too long.

What you need is a distraction.

A few medium-rare steaks and some grits should do the trick.

Say hello to T/X, a Texas-inspired restaurant (that was probably pretty obvious) that’s serving hanger steaks, pork racks and the side dishes that are required by law to go with them, now open inside the Stoneleigh.

Upon first glance... yup, this place used to be Bolla. It’s still got the white leather chairs, the spherical chandeliers and the word “Stoneleigh” spelled out in huge block letters on the wall. But take at look at the menu... nope, definitely not Bolla. It’s all Texas-y now. Includes words like “beer-braised,” “cactus” and “lobster pancakes” (okay, so that one’s not from any Texas you know).

But back to the white leather... Grab an intimate high-backed sofa if it’s date night, or the six-seat round table near the wine case if it’s a group thing/you have a weird fear of straight lines. Summon a bottle of cab and some poblano chicken chowder, then move on to a plate of short ribs with jalapeño-cheddar grits. Or maybe the rib eye. Anything rib-related and you’ll be fine.

And lest you forget, there’s a hotel upstairs. That’ll come in handy should your dinner date go swimmingly.

Or if your apartment is being fumigated.
