Losing a Coat, Gaining a Cut

You wore it well. You wore it like nobody else could. That entire igloo disco was agog. But you’ve decided that someone else needs the magic that is your fur-lined, full-length anorak. For your generosity, Floyd’s 99’s coat drive rewards you with a half-price haircut.

The Night Chicago Rye’d
RYE IT

The Night Chicago Rye’d

Seven rye beers. One rye cocktail. One rye whiskey. One night only. Yes, SmallBar Fullerton has assembled a sort of rye booze supergroup, simply because you love the way Goose Island Bourbon County Bramble Rye jams with a $4 Templeton Rye back.

Nov 18, 6-9pm, SmallBar Fullerton, 1415 W Fullerton Ave (between Southport and Janssen), 773-525-2727

Winter Gear at Apartment Number 9
RAG TIME

Winter Gear at Apartment Number 9

Apartment Number 9 is kicking off its Rag & Bone pop-up shop with only the essentials: Big Star cocktails, cuisine from Hot Chocolate, a kickin’ DJ and general mayhem. Oh, also Rag & Bone clothes and accessories at 20% off. That’s kind of essential, too.

Nov 18, 6-9pm, Apartment Number 9, 1804 N Damen Ave (between Churchill and Willow), 773-395-2999

Food Porn. Now Edible.
TASTEFUL FILMS

Food Porn. Now Edible.

This film fest centers on food-related documentaries, which is nice. (Also nice: most are under 10 minutes.) But the party has an oyster roast, Brunswick stew, French pastries and boiled peanuts from the chef at the Bedford. Movie popcorn: so good. Movie boiled peanuts: so much better.

Nov 19, 7pm, $65, Food Film Festival at Kendall College, 900 N North Branch St (at Halsted), 866-667-3344
