A New Golf Bar on Armitage Avenue

None 14 Photos Fairways
You know how to swing a golf club. You know how to swig a beer.

Yep, you’re ready.

We can now tell you about: Fairways, a new Lincoln Park palace of beer, burgers and—somewhat incredibly—backswings, teeing off very softly tonight. (Go ahead, give it a golf clap.)

At first, you’ll think—oh, just a really nice sports hangout. There’s a big bar, four 80-inch screens, a lounge with leather sofas along Armitage-side windows. Then, you’ll notice a subtle golf theme. There’s a banquette upholstered in tartan plaid (a sly nod to the Scottish) and a gopher mascot on the wall (a sly nod to Caddyshack).

So bring a casual date for burgers, your dad for a scotch or your entire office for a party in a 20-person double booth called the Nook. Mini foie gras corn dogs for everyone.

But since you had the foresight to secure reservations upstairs, move the party there. This is where you’ll spend time at astroturf-clad high-def golf simulators. You have your choice of 24 different real-life courses, from Medinah to Pebble Beach. Leave your clubs at home—they’ve got top-notch equipment at your disposal. Also: a mini bar.

So leave that at home, too.
