If you're a Cubs fan, you know the simple pleasure of sipping an ice-cold rooftop beer.
If you're a Sox fan, well, let's just say you're down a few rounds.
To even things up, allow us to suggest Market, your new sports den, beer garden and cocktailing
perch in the West Loop. Market is set to throw out its first beer a week from today, so we figured it was
about time you got a peek inside…
Walking in, you'll probably be struck by how un-sports-bar-y it immediately seems. True, the co-owner is
White Sox GM Kenny Williams, and sports show up in the menu with offerings like the Fifty-Yarder, a mixed grill skewer
served with a tiny goal post. (No word yet on cookies shaped like little footballs.) But the surroundings
are actually slick enough that you could bring a date here for dinner, no problem.
In any case, when the game's on, you'll be in the adjacent beer garden, equipped with special
all-weather/glare-resistant televisions, allowing you to spend weekend afternoons second-guessing Ozzie's
lineup.
And then there's the roof. More of a post-dinner/game destination, you and your friends will want to head up
here, grab a semi-enclosed cabana, knock back a few cold ones and admire the stunning views of Willis
Tower.
It's the Comiskey of skyscrapers.
