Like a Rolling Stone
A Stones-Worthy Château on Randolph
Imagine it’s the summer of 1971.
And you’re Keith Richards.
We know. You’ve always been more of a Jagger. But just strap on a Telecaster and humor us.
Now that you’re in the proper head space, we present
Nellcôte, inspired by the bohemian glamour
of that French château/recording studio forever linked with
Exile on Main St., slated to debut
March 2.
You knew it was only a matter of time before someone turned a Stones recording session into a restaurant. Or
a ride at Euro Disney. Anyway, we’re glad to report that the team behind this enterprise also brought you
Old Town Social, which forever linked
Monday Night Football and charcuterie.
This is the kind of place where you and your posse of friends, roadies, models, groupies, chancers,
penniless aristocrats and assorted hangers-on can bide away an evening tucked into an oversized banquette
under
a constellation of crystal
chandeliers with a DJ providing the requisite level of ambiance.
You’ll enter by sweeping past an entire wall of single lavender bud vases, under an art nouveau
wrought-iron gate, and then into a room where raw concrete meets crystal and white tablecloths.
The best seat is an imperious Juliet balcony overseeing the expanse of the dining room. From this perch,
summon forth escargots,
dry-aged rib
eye, frog leg raviolini and black-truffle pizzas with crusts made from house-milled flour.
Keef loves that flour.
