Oysters and Pork Burgers in Andersonville
Let’s discuss change. A few years ago, it was all the rage.
But now, things have become predictable. Safe. And you’re ready to shake things up again.
And you can’t do that on an empty stomach.
Introducing
Acre, which has transformed a perfectly respectable Andersonville Irish bar into a place for
simple, honest, down-home comfort cuisine. (P.S. buffalo grass vodka and fresh apple cider cocktails
officially count as comfort food now.)
Of course, there was nothing wrong with Charlie’s Ale House. But after slinging Guinness for a few years,
the owners—who also run Anteprima, the rustic Italian boîte a few doors away—thought you might enjoy
something fresh.
So consider this Anteprima’s Midwestern, farm-raised cousin. For when you’re craving a home-cooked meal,
there’s the dining room—where slate gray walls are adorned with tractor seats, and peekytoe crab cakes
and short ribs with mac and goat cheese are served. But since the menu changes basically daily, try not to
fall in love.
And if you just need a good neighborhood joint to watch a game, the tap room is your destination. There are
nearly 30 beers on draft to accompany you while you munch deviled eggs, devour fig jam-topped pork burgers
or just slurp fresh oysters.
Even you don’t mess with perfection.
