Smoking Slippers, Bikes and Freedom: A Pop-Up

By UrbanDaddy Staff ·
None Today, you’re receiving two wonderful things.

1) Spring. Kind of a big deal.

2) One Orange, a new pop-up shop that’s also kind of a big deal if you plan on spending spring in the company of smoking slippers and blankets that love America, soft-opening this afternoon in Beacon Hill.

Our tale begins in 2012 on an island called Nantucket, where these guys opened their first shop full of Kennedy-esque trappings from various American brands. Now they’ll be residing on Charles Street until June, and we’ll all be better-looking for it.

This place might look a little familiar, with its whitewashed walls and blue floors. And that’s because it housed Tucker Blair’s holiday pop-up until January. Now the skis and the upside-down Christmas tree are gone. And in their place are some Shinola bicycles, vintage luggage and things that may prove useful in the warmer months, like...

—Rooftop-ready button-downs from Jack Robie.

—Smoking slippers/barbecue conversation pieces made from vintage Turkish carpets.

—Needlepoint belts from Tucker Blair.

—A wool American flag blanket called a “Freedom Throw.”

—Shinola bikes.

In case you missed those the first time.
