You’re going to want to keep this email in a safe, dry place.

Sure, we’ll tell you why.

Because it tells you where to find Maine lobster on a perfectly buttered bun for the rest of your foreseeable future.

Yep. That storied Maine lobster roll purveyor, Luke’s Lobster, opens Friday in Back Bay. Here’s what it looks like and here’s the menu.

This was started by an expat Mainer who couldn’t find a satisfactory roll in NYC. So he put some there. But as fate would have it, he decided a New England homecoming was in order.

Inside, it’s industrial meets Down East—you’ve got concrete floors and exposed pipes, all balanced by walls made out of Maine barn wood (weird) and the ever-important hanging buoy.

But you’re here for lobster. So you’ll get a quarter pound of the stuff direct from Maine on a buttered, toasted bun with just a whisper of mayo. Or a shrimp or crab roll instead. They’ve even rustled up some chocolate chip cookies from the South End Buttery to make ice cream sandwiches.

And if you happen to be within a couple blocks, they’ll deliver to you.

Try to be within a couple blocks.
