Gather ’Round
Duck Tacos and Local Drafts in Fort Point

Your week.

Started pretty great with those Sox and Pats last-minute victories.

And it’s going to end pretty great with some chicken wings fried in duck fat.

Because your week will be topped off at Gather, an airy new place for deconstructing tacos, wings and Chartreuse-laden cocktails, slated to open this Thursday in Fort Point’s District Hall.

The first thing you’ll notice in here is a certain work-in-progress aesthetic. There are giant, hole-punched boards of cork over the slate bar. And roughly 120 mismatched lightbulbs dangling by extension cords from the high ceiling. It’s like a workshop where they build roasted-duck tacos with apple kimchi instead of... workshop stuff.

Your assignment: grab a friend and sit and admire the views of Boston Harbor from those floor-to-ceiling windows. Helping you with this task: a Chartreuse Smash, which is like a whiskey smash but with green Chartreuse. Or if you’re not in a Chartreuse mood, go ahead and explore the dozen local beers on tap.

One other thing: they’re into daily specials here. On Tuesdays, they’ve got BBQ brisket and cornbread. Thursdays are all about porchetta. Saturdays and Sundays are for duck-fat chicken wings.

And football. Saturdays and Sundays are also still for football.
