Ridiculous Kettle Chips and Chess by the TD Garden

None 6 Photos Finch
Those pesky Bruins.

They whipped New York again yesterday. They might be in these playoffs for a while yet.

So you might as well get comfortable and find another spot near the TD Garden to frequent before their games. Or after. Or the next morning...

Say hi to Finch, your new pre-anything-at-the-Garden enclave for flapjacks and kettle chips, now open in the Boxer (formerly known as the Bulfinch Hotel) in the West End.

This is as sturdy a place as any to gear up for Bergeron’s slap shot. It’s got exposed hand-cut brick walls, farmhouse wood accents and raised distressed-red-leather booths. All of which work great with a stack of buttermilk pancakes or some lobster mac and cheese. Or even just some Kitchen Sink Kettle Chips, flash-fried and tossed in hot sauce, garlic, blue cheese and bell peppers (ah, breakfast).

Of course, you could also use this place strictly for its libations while deal-closing with a client. Grab the leather thrones in front of the vintage chess table-board, order a couple of Finch’s Dirty Bird martinis and play a match or two.

Unless you don’t know how to play chess. Then, just drink and talk.
