Gin and Oysters Overlooking Boylston

None 6 Photos Forum
It’s the thick of summer.

The days are hot, your physique is Rocky III–lean (be sure to thank the Apollo Creed in your life for helping out there) and life, pound for pound, is good.

Well, it’s about to get better. Deconstructed beef Wellington while overlooking Boylston Street better.

Take a peek at Forum, your sleek, new 300-person, white leathery, two-floor, two-bar home for oysters and first dates, opening a week from today in the Back Bay.

Brought to you by the guys behind Noche in the South End, Forum rises up in the former and totally renovated home of Vox Populi (which apparently closed due to not being the voice of the people).

So starting next week, you can saunter in with one of the July dates you’re looking to turn into a summer fling and claim a plush throne at the bar. You’ll start with some oysters and an Easy Avenue (rye, muddled orange, honey and rosemary) or a gin, agave and egg white Charlemagne to get the night going (and ascertain her Steely Dan knowledge).

Afterwards, you’ll move upstairs to a table by the windows overlooking Boylston (nothing says romance like prime views of Lord & Taylor). There you’ll feast on deconstructed beef Wellington with foie gras or maybe just split some of the short ribs with jalapeño polenta.

All great dates end with something spicy.
