Social-izing
The Back Bay’s New Social Club
Tequila shots. Swedish twins. Really, any kind of twins.
All proof that in life, two things are better than one.
So when we told you the good news about a
glorious new two-floor restaurant rising in the Back Bay a couple weeks ago, you probably said,
“That’s great... make it a double.”
Your order is now ready...
Presenting your first extended look inside
Back Bay Social Club, the new two-floor, old-timey
hangout occupying the former Vinny T’s space, now open.
In short, walking inside here is a little like leaving modern-day Boston behind and somehow landing in an
episode of
Mad Men, one where you, Roger Sterling and a couple of flight attendants cram into a
plush blood-red
booth decked with boxing posters and order a round of bourbons, neat, then keep the platters of
Beer
Braised Pork Belly,
Steak Frites and
House Made Garlic Sausage coming. (All the while
making sure Pete Campbell isn’t spying on you from the mahogany bar.)
And since your interest in stiff drinks and pork products does not take mornings off, you’ll be glad to
know that in the weeks to come, they’ll also be opening for breakfast.
Until then, you’ll just have to get by on their Monday night
Chicken and Waffles special.
Any night is special when waffles are involved.
