Food Trucks and Movies at the Goat Farm

The Atlanta Film Festival is stopping by the Goat Farm this evening to showcase some short films, installation art, live music and music videos from around the world. You’re also in for some food trucks and some hopefully nice weather. Too many short films happening to not have nice weather.

Friday
Gu’s Dumplings: Now Open at KSM
GU INTENTIONS

Gu’s Dumplings: Now Open at KSM

The long-anticipated Szechuan-slinging Gu’s Dumplings is now open at Krog Street Market. It’s much closer than Buford Highway. And much closer than China. This conveniently means more noodles, more stir-fry and more kung pao lotus root. Right, and dumplings.

Here, Have Some Eccentric Things
GATHER, RINSE, REPEAT

Here, Have Some Eccentric Things

Brick+Mortar is having a sale this weekend. Which doesn’t happen often. Everything is 20% off, and some things are 30% off. With all those taxidermied foxes, vintage maps and tufted-leather sofas, your place will be looking like the home of a ’60s Bond villain in no time. That’s a good thing.

New Festival. Involves the Drifters.
CHERRY ON

New Festival. Involves the Drifters.

Brookhaven’s throwing its first-ever Cherry Blossom Festival. There’ll be some art. There’ll be some beer. There’ll be some old-school live music. Grab your date, grab your beers, make for the stage and dance to the Drifters. Yes, the “Under the Boardwalk” Drifters. There aren’t many kinds of Drifters.

Sunday
Game of Thrones. Season 5. At the Fox.
THRONE RANGER

Game of Thrones. Season 5. At the Fox.

Your Sunday dose of Game of Thrones has arrived a little earlier than expected. Secure a ticket and watch the season 5 premiere before anyone else. At the Fox. Admission is gratis, but there are more tickets than seats, so it behooves you to be early. And to have already seen seasons 1 to 4.
