Brand-New Perks

This week, Perks is giving you and your tennis partner a chance at 60 minutes on the court with the legendary John McEnroe, who'll give you tips on everything from strengthening your second serve to the proper way to berate a myopic line judge. Yes, we are being serious.

Haute Ice Cream Sandwiches
SO ICY

Haute Ice Cream Sandwiches

It's hot... and getting hotter. So it's only right to take refuge in the sweet, sweet solace of ice cream sandwiches, available during lunch only at Miller Union. The chef's whim and seasonal ingredients will determine your choices, but expect homemade variations like butterscotch marshmallow or roasted banana. We believe in these whims.

Tue-Sat, 11:30am-2:30pm, Miller Union, 999 Brady Ave NW, 678-733-8550

Saturday
Crawfish and Dixie Beer at Serpas
LOW COUNTRY

Crawfish and Dixie Beer at Serpas

So you're having a hard time staying indoors lately. Serpas Restaurant understands, and is hosting an outdoor low country boil with endless crawfish, jambalaya, bread pudding and $3 Dixie Beers from Louisiana. Add live music and a few hundred like-minded patio warriors, and you've got yourself an afternoon.

Jun 5, noon-4pm, $28, Serpas, 659 Auburn Ave #501, 404-688-0040

Spicy Bourbon and Furniture in Poncey-Highlands
BY DESIGN

Spicy Bourbon and Furniture in Poncey-Highlands

There's a lot of design events going on this Saturday. Your concern, however, is with the after-party... and it's called Yall & Us. Basically, it's a boozy design exhibition (or a designy booze exhibition) with eclectic furniture and housewares from 15 national designers, gratis Tasty Spicys (bourbon and spicy ginger ale) and a DJ. No dancing on the furniture.

Two Days of Dancing and Rooftop Pooling
DOG DAYS

Two Days of Dancing and Rooftop Pooling

Coming off of a three-day weekend, we think it's only appropriate to celebrate a four-day work week... with a two-day party. FLUX at the Georgian Terrace Hotel starts Saturday with DJ Vicki Powell until 3am, then moves to the rooftop pool on Sunday with a brunch buffet, mimosas and $12 build-your-own Bloody bar. Two-day weekends can still hang.

Wednesday
Custom Bourbon and Sliders at Paces 88
HAPPY HOURING

Custom Bourbon and Sliders at Paces 88

By the time Wednesday comes around, it's time to start thinking about bourbon... and burgers. Together. Every Wednesday, Paces 88 pairs live music on the patio, gratis sliders and cocktails made with their custom bourbon blend (think Kentucky Bourbon Sparkler with vanilla bean syrup and sparkling wine). You'll take yours neat, thank you.

Wednesdays, 5pm, Paces 88, 88 W Paces Ferry Rd, 404-563-7910
