Ski Jackets in Atlanta. Might Need ’Em.

Atlanta’s cold-weather months: hard to predict.

Sometimes they’re mild.

And sometimes the sky opens up and furiously unleashes two whole, terrifying... inches of snow on us.

Right. Best to be prepared.

Bundle up at Moncler, a new Buckhead Atlanta shop with enough ribbed down jackets, knit hats and wool gloves to get you through the impending months (or at the very least: a ski trip to Aspen), now open. (See the slideshow here.)

So a little about this place. It hails from Europe. There are only a handful in America. And it feels like an elephantine walk-in closet that you’d find in a chalet in the Alps (French wood paneling, gray stone floors, backlit photos of chopped firewood...).

Your tactic here: grab anything that you might need on the slopes. A pair of leather boots with a zip closure for before the skis come on. Some quilted black pants, sure. And definitely that black jacket with a detachable fur-lined hood.

Oh, and you can also browse the complete line on the store’s iPad display. Just in case you’re feeling particularly against interacting with the real world that day.

Happens.
