Square Roots
Craft Beer and Frito Pies on the Square

It’s the beginning of the week.

Congrats.

And while normally we would reserve such a sentiment for a day that’s a bit less… Mondayish, today it just feels right.

Three new levels of venerable beer hijinks and flat-screening tend to have that effect.

Welcome to The Square Pub, your new tri-level haven for experiencing the restorative powers of cold beer, Frito pies and football, soft-open now in the heart of Decatur Square.

So tonight, after you open the big red door and make your entrance, you’ll notice the high, warehouse-style ceilings and endless exposed brick. And while we understand if your initial urge is to stop and succumb to the temptations of the formidable wooden bar and seventeen craft beers on tap (Bells Two Hearted, Wild Heaven Golden…), we’d suggest forging ahead.

Because at the apex of the first flight of stairs, you’ll find yourself face-to-face with the bar version of your living room (just with more flat-screens and random pictures of Einstein). It’s here that you’ll casually decamp to one of the dark leather couches and catch the game with a bottle of Smuttynose Brown, a Deep Fried Poblano and another bottle of Smuttynose Brown.

But if you’re in the mood for something a bit less…pub-y, you’ll find it in one of the third-floor booths with a bottle of Stags Leap Artemis Cab and some duck confit.

Finally, duck confit and Frito pie under the same roof.
