Grazie.

Prego.

Negroni.

Meatball.

That’s about all the Italian words you’ll need for this weekend. Plus meatball.

They’ll come in handy at Princi Italia, a new Italian spot where you’ll go for classics like pasta, pizza, panini, patios and some non-P words like gin, now soft-open in Midtown. (Here’s your slideshow.)

Waiting for you inside is a former Ecco chef who previously had stints under Mario Batali and Daniel Boulud. He made you this menu. It’s a good menu.

All right. Off to a nice start.

It’s definitely one of those windows-everywhere, panini-for-lunch, post-work-Negroni, ravioli-because-it’s-Friday type places. It’s also somewhere you might come to look at paintings of Italian villages on hills and a wall displaying over 600 bottles of wine.

Really anywhere in here works. There’s the aforementioned patio, which is covered and breezy, much like a patio. Meanwhile, the dining room is lovely this time of year for things like orecchiette with housemade sausage and pizza with white truffle oil.

But about that secluded little marble bar up front. It’s where you’ll casually sip on a Lemoncello Drop before heading back out for the night. It’s part limoncello, part rhubarb bitters.

Rhubarb at the buzzer.
