Your Near-Future Itinerary:

10am, tomorrow:
Arrive at Amélie’s French Bakery on the Westside. It’s open 24/7/365, so no rush or anything. Take your time looking around. Yes, that’s a fake fireplace. Yes, that’s a Birth of Venus mirror with your reflection where the face should be. Yes, that’s a Beethoven bust with lipstick kisses on it and a sign that says “Call me a cab” around his neck...

3:30am, Saturday:
You need nourishment. A sandwich au jambon should do the trick. And if not, just stand against the wall with the heights of people like Chipper Jones, Bono and Voltaire marked on it. You know, for kicks.

11:30pm, Monday:
It’s Bastille Day. This is a French bakery. There are weird interpretations of Mona Lisa everywhere (a vintage needlepoint, a clock...). Might want to come here post-dinner for twice-baked croissants and hot chocolate.

Au revoir,
