The guys at Umami are rolling $4 sushi, dishing out Wagyu beef sliders and pouring bottles of wine at half
price—and they're calling it sumo hour. We're not sure if any wrestling will be involved, but that's a
risk we're willing to take.

PBR at Madrone, half-off pizza at Little Star (from 5 to 7pm) and two-for-one bottles of sake at Tsunami,
you won't be obligated to play the role of the starving artist.

Drop by Friday and you'll look on as roughly 100 different artists take hour-long shifts sketching whatever
comes to mind. With craft brews and tacos on hand, we're predicting a fair amount of carnitas still lifes.
 SCREAMING FOR SOFT-SERVEBi-Rite Creamery's Ice Cream Window Opens
You may have noticed that this cult scoop shop just tripled their indoor seating (to all of 10). But the
action's going to be at the new sidewalk window, where they just started swirling soft-serve. For now,
you'll have easy access to vanilla and chocolate, but know that salted caramel is in the works. It's history
in the making, folks.
  ON TRACKBay Bombers Roller Derby Season Opener
If you've never been up close to witness the pageantry, brutality and unchecked glamour of roller derby,
Saturday's game pits local girls the Bay Bombers against the Brooklyn Red Devils. We have it on good word
that Apple co-founder Steve "The Woz" Wozniak will be in the house. We assume that means he'll be trackside
and not on skates...
