  PRETTY IN DRINKPretty Things Beer Tasting
The first week back at work for 2010 is just about over, and if you stop by Bauer Wine on Newbury tonight
you'll be able to score free hooch to mark the occasion. Local ale project Pretty Things and its
brewer will be hosting a two-hour tasting of their Westport-brewed suds, including their latest: a seasonal,
seven-percent, export-strength stout.
  LAXBoston Blazers Season Opener
If you've ever been curious about the Blazers, Boston's very own professional lacrosse team,
this weekend might be a good time to check them out. Their season opens Saturday night at the TD
Garden…offering you the cheapest way to get in to see something live at the TD Garden.
  RAWA Nice, Thorough Detox at Rocca
It's been an endless succession of drinking for you lately. (Ah, the holidays.) Fortunately, Rocca is
helping you get your body right again with a special raw food menu. Their cleansing three-course prix fixe
includes Zucchini Spaghetti and Beet Ravioli, as well as detox elixirs made with freshly

 PRIME TIMEPrime Rib Sundays at Fleming's
As soon as your body is ready for red meat again, Fleming's has a special prix fixe every Sunday in
January that we think you might appreciate. They'll start you off with salad, then serve you 12 ounces
of prime rib with three sauces and a side of your choice, then finish things off with dessert. And if you
plan on hitting their wine list pretty hard, they'll even send a Mercedes SUV over to pick you up.
  REGALThe Beagle Throws a Beer Dinner
Brookline's greatest watering hole named after a bar in Three's Company is starting off
2010 with an inaugural beer dinner. Five courses (think cheddar soup, Maine shrimp and chorizo stew) will be
paired with a wide spectrum of Berkshire suds—everything from a coffeehouse porter to American pale
ales—and Mr. Roper will be none the wiser.
