Chilango Opens in the Castro

There's more to Mexican food than burritos. You know that. Find street food like you'd find in Mexico City in this little spot brought to you by a Mexico DF vet. He's dishing out short-rib tacos, carnitas by the pound and sopes, washed down with cerveza and vino from Latino winemakers (think of it as the new tequila).

Wax and Wine Fest in Ghirardelli Square

It snowed in Tahoe last weekend. So maybe you already have your skis and board waxed and ready to go. If not, this Tuesday the guys from Lombardi's will give them a hot wax, gratis, while you fill your wine glass and raise it up to a white season ahead.
