Gracing the deli counter at Duc Loi market are the guys from Mission Street Food, serving up 1/3-pound
burgers made of brisket, short ribs, and chuck and seared in beef fat. There's also a vegan burger, but if
you're looking to get your veggies, we recommend the fries.
 COOKIE MONSTERBatter Bakery Kiosk Now Open
Flowers, chocolate and cupcakes are surefire ways to impress a woman (along with your charming wit, of
course). So this pop-up bakery in a former flower stand has your back. Pick up cupcakes and brownies for
her, then snag a few secret-recipe Sand Angels (a snickerdoodle/molasses cookie hybrid) for the road.

The August fog is giving way to September sun right about now. So you might want to pick up a few things at

In honor of this Italian feast day, there'll be a whole pig roasted in a Cuban La Caja China box (the
Cadillac of roasting boxes), along with grilled Padrón peppers, sausages, and the usual menu of pizza
and salads and plenty of vino. Then take a cue from the Italians and extend the celebration for the entire
month.

This East Bay wine bar that also serves breakfast, lunch and dinner is a concept we'd like to see more of.
In the meantime, this is your spot for about eight different wines on tap, small plates and the option of
